1972-2016 pdf Index
There are two versions of an index for the older issues of the American Canals newsletter. The first version are pdf files of all the issues between 1972-2016. These are offered in three formats; 45-year index, an Author index, and a picture index. Click on the blue links to open these files.

1972-2020 Spreadsheet Index
Although very comprehensive, the older pdf indexes are not easy to add information to, so we have created a Google Docs spreadsheet that covers all the years up to the most recent additions. There are three ways you can get the spreadsheet. 1) Click on this link to download the spreadsheet in the Excel format. 2) You can use this link to open the Google Docs spreadsheet directly from the Google cloud. 3) If you are uncomfortable downloading from a website, feel free to send us an email and we will email you the Excel spreadsheet directly.
Once you download, use the CTRL-F function to search by author or subject. Not familiar with CTRL-F? Here is a guide. “Control+F” (or “Command+F” on a Mac) is the keyboard shortcut for the Find command. If you’re in a document or in a web browser, pressing the Ctrl key + the F key will bring up a search box in the top right corner of the screen.
